OAKLAND, Calif. —

Oakland police were canvassing a neighborhood Sunday morning in the hope of finding surveillance video that shows who shot two people.

Officers were called to the intersection of 19th Street and San Pablo Avenue just before 2 a.m. Sunday

When they arrived, they found a woman and a man had both been shot several times.

There were numerous shell casings on the ground and a bullet hole in the windshield of a van.

“Preliminary analysis appears it may have been some sort of argument that stemmed from the gunfire but, again, we don't know the relationships they had prior to this incident happening,” said Sgt. Brandon Wehrly of the Oakland Police Department.

Both victims were taken to the hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.

The shooter was still at large Sunday.
