MORGAN HILL, Calif. —

A man wanted in a fatal shooting in May has been arrested after being spotted shopping at a Northern California Walmart on Black Friday.

Morgan Hill police said Sunday that an off-duty Santa Clara juvenile probation officer saw 18-year-old Jacob Haro standing in a checkout line at a Walmart in the city. The officer recognized him and called police.

San Jose police said Haro was arrested around 11 p.m. on Thanksgiving day.

They said Haro is wanted on suspicion of murder and attempted murder for a gang-related shooting on May 26 that left a 16-year-old man dead, and a 23-year-old man wounded. Investigators said two men were standing near a street corner just before midnight when they were shot.
