LAKE COUNTY, Calif. —

Authorities said they have found a 12-year-old Lake County girl who has been missing since Thursday morning and she is safe, according to sheriff's officials.

Jenica Fredrick was safely located at a relative’s home in Santa Rosa, California.

She was last seen Thursday at her Cobb, Calif. home as she was getting ready for school, according to Lake County sheriff's Capt. Chris Macedo.

An exhaustive search of the Cobb Mountain area and Lakeport area was continuing when the family member called the girl's parents to tell him that she had arrived at his home in Santa Rosa.  The girl's parents were enroute to Santa Rosa Saturday to be reunited with their daughter.

Teams have been searching the Cobb Mountain area since authorities were alerted to Fredrick's disappearance Thursday night.

A number of Bay Area agencies assisted in the search for Fredrick, including search and rescue teams from Mendocino, Marin, Sonoma, Solano and Napa counties.
