OAKLAND, Calif. —

A man and woman were recovering from gunshot wounds in two separate shootings in East Oakland Saturday, police said.

Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 5800 block of Harmon Ave. at about 5:10 p.m. Saturday, Officer J. Moore said.

Officers arrived to find a man suffering from a single gunshot wound, Moore said.

He was transported to a hospital to be treated for his wound, and was in stable condition, Moore said.

Two suspects with guns fled from the scene in a car and remain at large, he said.

Several hours later, police responded to another report of shots fired in the 1200 block of 35th Ave., at 8:25 p.m., Moore said.

A woman was found suffering from a gunshot wound, he said.

Moore said the woman transported herself to a hospital and is in stable condition.

One suspect with a gun was seen fleeing the scene on foot and remained at large Sunday, Moore said.
