SAN FRANCISCO —

An employee with the San Francisco Board of Supervisors clerk's office pleaded not guilty Wednesday to three misdemeanor charges stemming from an alleged attack on another city employee at City Hall last month.

Renee Craig, 50, who works in the operations division of the clerk's office, pleaded not guilty to assault, battery and making criminal threats.

The incident occurred at about 8 a.m. on July 26 on the second floor of City Hall.

Craig's attorney, Randall Knox, declined to comment on the case outside of court.

Officials at the clerk's office also declined to comment.

Craig will return to court on Sept. 27 for a pretrial hearing.
