SF cab driver robbed at gunpoint

SAN FRANCISCO —

A taxi driver was robbed while parked in San Francisco's Mission District early Wednesday morning, police said.

The robbery was reported in the 2200 block of Mission Street at about 3:30 a.m.

The 38-year-old driver was parked at the curb when a suspect approached the passenger side window of the cab, simulated that he had a gun in his sweatshirt and demanded money, according to police.

The victim handed over cash to the suspect, who then fled, police said.
