SAN FRANCISCO —

A man was shot and killed in San Francisco's Bayview District on Monday afternoon, police said.

The shooting was reported at 3:32 p.m. in the 1300 block of Thomas Avenue.

The 31-year-old victim, whose name has not yet been released, was found sitting in a car with gunshot wounds to his head and chest, according to police.

He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests had been made as of Tuesday morning, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.
