NORTH BAY —

A man suspected of committing commercial burglaries in Sonoma and Marin counties was arrested late Monday night in rural Marin County, a Marin County sheriff's lieutenant said.

Tyrone Brennen, 27, of Oakland, was arrested around 11 p.m. by a Marin County sheriff's deputy in the area of Tomales Petaluma Road and Chileno Valley Road near the Sonoma and Marin county border, Lt. Jamie Scardina said.

Brennen is suspected of committing a burglary at Diekmann's Bay Store in Bodega Bay Monday night, Scardina said.

The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office notified the Marin County Sheriff's Office the suspect might be driving a light-colored BMW, Scardina said.

Marin County sheriff's deputies checked Diekmann's General Store on Shoreline Highway in Tomales and found a vehicle similar to the BMW,

Scardina said. Deputies then discovered the store also had been burglarized, Scardina said.

Law enforcement agencies searched for the suspect until 5 p.m. Monday, Scardina said. Brennan was located at 11 p.m. Monday walking in the area Tomales Petaluma Road and Chileno Valley Road, Scardina said.

Brennen was booked into the Sonoma County jail on multiple counts of commercial burglary and is a suspect of a spree of commercial burglaries in both counties, Scardina said.
