Suspect arrested in SJ 40th homicide of year

SAN JOSE, Calif. —

Police have arrested a suspect in a weekend shooting in San Jose that claimed the life of a 22-year-old man.

Armando Galvin, 23, of San Jose, is suspected of shooting Robert Agulto early Saturday morning during an argument in the 1500 block of Kooser Road, police said.

Police learned of the shooting at about 1:25 a.m. when Agulto was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

Around 3:15 p.m. Saturday, police arrested Galvin in Manteca. He was booked into Santa Clara County Jail, police said.

The homicide is San Jose's 40th this year.
