FREMONT, Calif. —

Two men and a teenage boy were arrested Monday after allegedly stealing shoes at gunpoint from a Craigslist seller in a Denny's parking lot in Fremont, police said.

Officers responded around 6:45 p.m. Monday to report of an armed robbery outside the Denny's at 5280 Mowry Ave., according to Fremont police.

A man reported that he had attempted to sell a pair of shoes to someone via Craigslist.

Police said the prospective buyers arrived at the restaurant parking lot in a silver truck. After a passenger exited the truck and the man handed over the shoes, the truck's driver pointed a semi-automatic pistol at the victim.

The suspects then fled the parking lot with the shoes.

Union City police stopped the suspects' car at the intersection of Decoto and Alvarado-Niles roads. The officers recovered the shoes and the gun, which police said had been reported stolen out of Brentwood.

The driver, front passenger and a passenger in the truck's backseat were all arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and possession of stolen property. Police have not yet released their names.
