SAN RAMON, Calif. —

Two suspects were in custody for an alleged residential burglary that led to the brief lockdown of a San Ramon elementary school Wednesday, police said.

A short time after 11 a.m., officers were called to a home on Longleaf Circle on a report of a burglary in progress, police said.

Officers arriving on the scene detained one suspect as he exited the home while another suspect fled the scene.

Police said that nearby Live Oak Elementary School, located at 5151 Sherwood Way, was put on lockdown moments later as a precaution as officers searched the area for the second suspect.

Officers located that suspect in the 17000 block of Bollinger Canyon Rd around 12:10 p.m.

Both suspects, who were not named, were arrested on suspicion of first-degree burglary.
