OAKLAND, Calif. —

A man and a woman were killed in a shooting early Saturday morning in the area of 107th Avenue and Apricot Street, according to Oakland police.

Shots were reported in the area shortly after 4 p.m., police said.

Officers responding to the area found a man and woman both suffering from gunshot wounds. They were both declared dead at the scene, police said.

The motive and circumstances around the shooting remain under investigation and the identities of the victims have not been released.
