SAN FRANCISCO —

Police in San Francisco were investigating a shooting Saturday night that hospitalized two people, a sergeant said.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 1300 block of Alemany Blvd, near Silver Ave, at about 10:10 p.m., Sgt. Michael Andraychak said.

When they arrived, they found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds, Andraychak said.

The man, believed to be about 50, and the woman, believed to be around 80, were transported to a hospital to be treated for their injuries, which were not considered life-threatening, Andraychak said.

Andraychak said that the suspects fled the scene. No arrests had been made by Sunday morning, and police had no description of the suspects, he said.

Anyone with information on the shooting was asked to call the San Francisco police on its anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or text "SFPD," along with a tip, to TIP411.
