Police have arrested two men Thursday in connection with the shooting deaths of two other men in Union City over the weekend, police said.
Officers from Union City police, Hayward police and the Alameda County Sheriff's Office served search warrants Thursday in locations in Union City and Hayward as part of the investigation, Union City police said.
The warrants resulted in the arrests of Eric Estrada, 22, of Hayward and Union City and Robert "Dylan" Redding, 18, of Union City, police said. Several other people were detained and released.
The two men are suspected of the shooting death Sunday of two Union City men in the 33400 block of 11th Street at about 1 a.m., according to police.
Watchdogs are questioning an exclusive agreement between the City of Oakland and a non-profit group, tapped to lead a multi-million dollar project to redevelop the area around the Coliseum BART station.
