Vallejo police investigate shooting death of elderly man found in garage

VALLEJO, Calif. —

Vallejo police are investigating the homicide of an elderly man found shot to death in the garage of a residence.

Police responded to a report of gunshots around 5:21 p.m. at a home on the 400 block of Hichborn Street in Vallejo and found a man who died of an apparent gunshot wound, said Vallejo police.

It was unclear if the man was a resident of the home.

A neighbor said she did not hear gun shot, but she heard a series of clicks.

Police said they have a witness in case and could have more details by Monday.

The man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.
