OAKLAND, Calif. —

Oakland police say an 18-year-old mom has been shot to death in one of eight shootings that occurred across the city in a 24-hour period.

The body of Greysi Morales-Cordon was found Saturday morning on a landing in her East Oakland apartment complex. A motive for the killing has not been released, and no arrests have been made.

Police say her 3-year-old son is being cared for by relatives.

The Oakland Tribune reports seven other shootings were reported between Friday and Saturday afternoon. Six of the shootings were not fatal, and in a seventh one a 19-year-old man was pronounced dead at a hospital.

No suspects or motives were determined in all of the shootings.
