DANVILLE, Calif. —

Firefighters and PG&E crews were searching for a possible gas leak near two schools in Danville late Wednesday morning.

The Danville Fire Department confirmed that it had received reports of a possible natural gas leak in the area of El Capitan and I-680 at around 11 a.m. Both Charlotte Wood Middle School and John Baldwin Elementary were issued shelter-in-place orders, but the all clear was given at around 11:35 a.m.

PG&E crews were still trying to determine the possible cause of the natural gas smell in the area.
