Federal Agents Join Investigation Into Pittsburg Church Fire

PITTSBURG, Calif. —

Federal agents have joined Contra Costa County firefighters to investigate a suspicious fire at a church in Pittsburg.

Officials from the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and explosives are looking into the fire Saturday morning at the Church of the Living God in the 1100 block of Harbor Street.

Firefighters said a gasoline can was found beneath a broken stained-glass window outside the church.

No one was injured in the two alarm blaze.

The fire caused an estimated $125,000 in damages.
