Fire burning off Highway 101 in Morgan Hill contained

MORGAN HILL, Calif. —

A grass fire burning alongside Highway 101 in Morgan Hill has been contained, according to Cal Fire.

The fire was called in to local fire authorities at 4:19 p.m. and was burning near Bailey Avenue just off the freeway.

Cal Fire Morgan Hill told KTVU at around 5:40 p.m. that the fire grew to about 15 acres before being contained.

Crews are still at the scene to make sure no hot spots reignite.
