OAKLAND, Calif. —
BART announced early Tuesday that buses serving the El Cerrito del Norte, Walnut Creek, Dublin/Pleasanton and Fremont stations had filled to capacity and were no longer available.
Only West Oakland still had buses available.
The transit system had increased the number of its buses to 36 charter buses serving the West Oakland-San Francisco bus bridge, double the number that was available on Monday.
Those buses were scheduled to operate from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and will return from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The BART buses from El Cerrito del Norte, Walnut Creek, Dublin/Pleasanton and Fremont stations were supposed to continue until 8 a.m. but were filled to capacity an hour early.
