Body pulled from water near Jack London Square

OAKLAND, Calif. —

Police say a body has been found floating in the water near a marina at Oakland's Jack London Square.

Oakland police Officer Johnna Watson says the body was spotted around 9 a.m. Saturday.  Watson says when officers and emergency crews arrived they recovered the body of a man believed to be in his 60s.

The cause of death has not been determined, though homicide detectives are investigating.

The name of the man has not been released.
