The bomb squad has been sent to Skyline College in San Bruno Friday afternoon to investigate a suspicious package, according a San Mateo County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman.
Skyline College has posted an announcement on its web site stating that school closed for the day as of 4 p.m. due to the presence of a suspicious package. Classes will resume on Saturday, the statement says.
San Bruno police are responding to the incident but have not yet returned calls seeking further information.
