SAN FRANCISCO —
A 12-year-old child who was struck by a car in San Francisco's Bayview District on Sunday afternoon is expected to survive, a police spokeswoman said Monday.
The collision occurred near Third Street and Gilman Avenue at about 1 p.m. Sunday, police spokesman Sgt. Danielle Newman said.
The child was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, Newman said.
Police have not yet released additional details on the incident.
Anyone with information about the collision is asked to call the Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411 with "SFPD" in the message.
