A minor traffic violation led to the arrest of a driver in possession of more than 10 pounds of marijuana in Santa Rosa on Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At about 7:20 p.m., a CHP officer spotted a Land Rover with expired registration tags on southbound U.S. Highway 101 near Todd Road.

The officer stopped the vehicle, and noticed an odor of marijuana coming from the car, according to the CHP.

A license check revealed that the driver, 40-year-old Byong Min of San Francisco, was driving on a suspended license.

A search of the car revealed 10 pounds of marijuana that had been packaged for sale, CHP officials said.

Min's vehicle was impounded, and Min was booked into jail for possession and transportation of marijuana for sale and driving on a suspended license, according to the CHP.
