Coast Guard recovers body near Fort Baker

SAN FRANCISCO —

A death investigation was underway Sunday after a body was found in the San Francisco Bay that morning.

Following up a report of a fatality near the Golden Gate Bridge, the U.S. Coast Guard told KTVU that a fisherman spotted a body near Fort Baker, just about an hour ago.

As of 8:30 a.m., there was no word on the identity of the body or a cause of death.
