PETALUMA, Calif. —

The driver of a 30-foot box truck suffered moderate injuries when the truck overturned into a ditch on Old Adobe Road near Petaluma Friday morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The male driver was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, CHP Officer Jon Sloat said.

The 1990 Kenilworth truck went off the right side of the road near Green String Farm around 9:10 a.m., according to the CHP.

The truck went down a steep embankment and landed upside down in a drainage ditch, Sloat said. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

The truck is registered to NorthWest General Engineering, a Santa Rosa company, Sloat said. The construction company specializes in grading, paving and underground site work, according to its website.

The crash blocked northbound Old Adobe Road and one-way traffic was in effect on the road, according to the CHP.
