SUNNYVALE, Calif. —
A two-alarm fire heavily damaged a technology company office in Sunnyvale Saturday but did not cause any injuries, according to a city spokeswoman.
Fire crews responded to reports of a blaze at 285 Sobrante Way, home to Kortek Technology Integration, around 11 a.m., Sunnyvale city spokeswoman Jennifer Garnett said.
Firefighters attacked the blaze on the single-story building's roof soon after arriving on the scene and were able to extinguish the fire by around 12:20 p.m., Garnett said.
Fire officials do not believe anyone was inside the office building when the fire broke out, and no injuries were reported.
The blaze caused significant damage to the Kortek Technology Integration office as well as to businesses alongside it in the large commercial building, Garnett said.
A damage estimate from the fire was not available.
Fire investigators are working to determine what sparked the blaze.
