All lanes on southbound U.S. Highway 101 at the South Yerba Buena road onramp were blocked Sunday evening due to a major injury crash involving a motorcycle, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A sig-alert was issued for the highway at 6:38 p.m., according to the CHP. Traffic was being diverted at Yerba Buena Road.
The solo vehicle crash was reported just before 6:30 p.m.
A tow truck was on way at about 7:20 p.m., according to CHP, but was reporting having issues getting to accident.
CHP officers said they expected to be on scene for a while.
At 8:30 p.m., CHP reported that they expected to have the scene cleared within the next hour.
