OAKLAND, Calif. —

Oakland police said Friday it appears there was no criminal action or foul play in an incident in which a male fan fell about 30 feet from the third deck at the Oakland Raiders game at the O.co Coliseum Thursday night.

Sgt. Chris Bolton said a preliminary investigation indicates that at about 5:35 p.m. Thursday the male, whose name and age weren't disclosed, "either jumped over, or climbed across and fell from, a third deck wall in section 314 and onto the concourse below."

Bolton said emergency medical treatment was provided at the scene and the fan was transported to a local hospital with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Bolton said, "Although witness accounts are not entirely consistent, the actions of the individual appear to have been deliberate and not a result of criminal action or foul play."

He said there isn't a criminal investigation and no follow-up is being done in connection to a criminal case.

The Raiders said in a statement, "While we do not yet have any information beyond that which has been publicly reported, our thoughts and prayers are with this gentleman and his family and friends."
