Missing Oakland autistic teen found beaten, sexually assaulted in SF

OAKLAND, Calif. —

A missing at-risk autistic teenaged girl who went missing in Oakland was found in San Francisco Thursday evening after having been beaten and sexually assaulted, according to the girl's father.

Oakland police announced that the girl had been found late Thursday night

The 16-year-old girl disappeared after walking away from the Fred Finch Youth Center, a residential treatment facility for developmentally disabled youth, Tuesday  night.

She was last seen at the Fruitvale BART station.

The girl's father father KTVU He received a call from investigators who told him she appeared to have been beaten and sexually assaulted.

Staff with Fred Finch apparently followed her more than two miles, but lost sight of her near the BART station on International in Oakland.

The girl's father said she has the mental capacity of a six or seven-year-old.

Even before she was found, her father suspected she had been taken by several men who were seen talking to her just before she disappeared.

The girl’s father told KTVU  that despite her many challenges, she was just like any young girl.

According to the girl's father, his daughter was taken to Highland Hospital in Oakland.

The father told KTVU he wants the youth center held responsible.
