OAKLAND, Calif. —
The father of a 16-year-old girl who therapists say has the mental capacity of a 6-year-old, said he has been frantic since his autistic daughter went missing in Oakland Tuesday evening.
Shyanne White lives at the Fred Finch Center in Oakland, a residential treatment center for youth.
Staff there said she left the grounds Tuesday night and made her way down to the Fruitvale Bart Station.
Staff followed her and tried to convince her to return to the facility, but she began talking with a group of young men between 17 and 25 years of age.
At around 10:45 p.m., the staff lost sight of the teen.
Shyanne is described as about 5'4", weighing around 140 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on Shyanne's whereabout is asked to call Oakland Police immediately
