OAKLAND, Calif. —
PG&E crews were working Saturday afternoon to restore power to thousands of customers in two different Bay Area cities, a utility spokeswoman said.
In Oakland, 3,566 lost power at 12:10 p.m. but was later restored by 1:15 p.m., PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris said.
The cause of the outage, which affected customers near Moraga Ave, Broadway Terrace, Clarewood Dr and state Highway 13, appears to be a car that crashed into a power pole, Morris said.
Further south in Soledad, 1,315 customers were without power due to an outage that began at 12:05, Morris said.
According to the spokeswoman there was no known cause or restoration time for the outage.
