MORGAN HILL, Calif. —

A Morgan Hill floral shop was severely damaged in a fire Tuesday morning, a fire battalion chief said.

Firefighters arrived at the shop, located on Monterey Street near Spring Avenue, around 8:50 a.m. to find the rear of the business on fire, Morgan Hill Fire Department Battalion Chief Jim Crawford said.

Crawford did not name the business, but the Floral Cottage of Morgan Hill is listed near that intersection, at 16815 Monterey St.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire around 9:15 a.m., Crawford said.

The business was unoccupied when the fire broke out, Crawford said.

No injuries were reported, and no other buildings were affected by the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
