No injuries after small plane crashes at East San Jose airport

SAN JOSE, Calif. —

Authorities Wednesday night were investigating the second small plane crash at East San Jose’s Reid Hillview Airport in the past two weeks, according to fire officials.

According to a San Jose Fire Department captain, the small plane went down at around 6:50 p.m. Wednesday night.

The fire captain told KTVU one of the wings apparently came off. The pilot later reported the landing gear collapsed. There were two people on board, but both walked away uninjured.

The fire captain said the incident was second plane crash at Reid Hillview in past two weeks. No one seriously hurt in other accident either.
