Sheriff searching for man missing from mental health facility

SAN MATEO Co., Calif. —

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who walked away from a mental health facility outside Redwood City on Friday.

Kenneth Morison, 67, left the Cordilleras Mental Health Center around 4:45 p.m. on Friday, the sheriff's office said.

He is described as a white male, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 220 pounds, with gray hair and a beard. He was wearing a white sweatshirt and blue jeans.

If residents locate him, they should call 911.
