OAKLAND, Calif. —
Six people were injured Friday morning after an SUV and city public works truck collided, sending the SUV crashing into a nearby building.
The accident happened at 14th Street and Franklin around 10:20 a.m. Friday morning.
After the initial collision, the SUV continued onto the sidewalk and slammed into the front of a nail salon.
The drivers of both vehicles were injured as well as two pedestrians and a patron inside the nail salon.
Authorities said the injuries were minor, but all six were taken to area hospitals as a precaution.
Police remain on the scene investigating the accident.
