SAN JOSE, Calif. —

A three-car collision has closed an intersection and partially blocked Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority light rail tracks in San Jose Thursday morning.

Firefighters responded to a report of a collision at Capitol Avenue and McKee Road at about 10:05 a.m., fire dispatcher Eric Joslin said.

Three cars were involved in the accident, which resulted in minor injuries to two people, Joslin said.

One of the cars partially blocked the northbound light rail tracks on the VTA's Alum Rock-Santa Teresa line, VTA spokeswoman Brandi Childress said.

Trains are able to single-track around the car, however, Childress said. A VTA employee is at the scene directing trains, she said.

As of 10:35 a.m., the intersection of Capitol Avenue and McKee Road was still blocked as crews cleared the scene, Joslin said.
