ROHNERT PARK, Calif. —

An late night structure fire Sunday has heavily damaged a Rohnert Park home, authorities said.

Crews responded to a report of a structure fire at 7176 Alma Ave. at about 11:40 p.m. Sunday, officials said.

When firefighters arrived, the garage of the residence was engulfed in flames, and the blaze had made its way to the home and fence in the back of the property, according to public safety officials.

Crews from Rohnert Park, Rancho Adobe and Rincon Valley combined to put out the fire, according to officials. The blaze was under control just after midnight.

No one was in the home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported, officials said.

The garage was destroyed in the blaze, but the home only sustained moderate damage. The property sustained between $50,000 and $60,000 in damage.

The cause of the fire is unknown, and remains under investigation.
