SAN ANSELMO, Calif. —
A water main break Thursday afternoon is expected to slow traffic near Sir Francis Drake High School in San Anselmo through the evening commute, a Marin Municipal Water District spokeswoman said.
The line ruptured around noon on eastbound Sir Francis Drake Boulevard just west of the high school.
Crews have arrived, and began their repairs around 1 p.m., water district spokeswoman Libby Pischel said.
The repair work has shut down both lanes of eastbound Sir Francis Drake Boulevard between Broadmoor and Ash avenues, she said.
The lane closure is expected to be in effect until as late as 7 p.m., Pischel said.
