Woman struck by Muni light rail has life-threatening injuries

SAN FRANCISCO —

A woman who was struck by a San Francisco Municipal Railway light-rail vehicle Thursday afternoon has life-threatening injuries, a fire spokeswoman said.

San Francisco fire and police responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a Muni light-rail vehicle in the area of 19th Avenue and Junipero Serra Boulevard at about 3:05 p.m., fire spokeswoman MiHndy Talmadge said.

A woman in her 20s was hit by the light-rail vehicle and was being resuscitated at the scene before being transported to San Francisco General Hospital, Talmadge said.

Muni officials were not immediately available for comment.
