Man Dies After Crashing Motorcycle Into Parked Car

SAN JOSE, Calif. —

A 47-year-old man died after he crashed his motorcycle into a parked car and landed underneath it in San Jose Thursday night.

The man was traveling west on Bernal Way heading toward Dal Bon Court when, for unknown reasons, he crashed into a parked car, police Officer Jose Garcia said.

His name is being withheld pending notification of his family.

The impact sent the man flying underneath the car, Garcia said.

Firefighters responded around 6:50 p.m. and pulled him out from underneath the car. He was pronounced dead on the street.

Police are investigating whether the crash was caused by mechanical failure, Garcia said.

"There was no indication of drugs or alcohol involvement," Garcia said. "As of right now it looks like a freak accident."
