A man found dead in Concord's Ellis Lake Park on Friday afternoon was identified by the Contra Costa County coroner's office Monday as 66-year-old Stephen Harley Tracy.
Concord police responded to the park, located near Clayton Road and Ellis Street, at 4:21 p.m., Lt. Rob Zywicki said.
Tracy, a Concord resident, was found floating face-down in the lake and was removed with the help of the city's fire department, Zywicki said. A preliminary investigation indicated that the death may have been accidental, he said.
A deputy coroner said this afternoon that the cause of Tracy's death remains under investigation.
