Man shot in leg near Hilltop Park in Bayview

 A man was shot in the leg while standing with a group of people near a park in San Francisco's Bayview District on Saturday afternoon, police said.

The shooting was reported at 2:39 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of La Salle Avenue and Garlington Court, near Hilltop Park, according to police.

The 21-year-old victim was standing on the street corner with the large group of people when they heard gunfire, then saw the victim had been shot in the leg, police said.

He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and is expected to survive.
