SAN FRANCISCO —

A man was shot while standing on a San Francisco Municipal Railway light-rail platform in the city's Bayview District on Saturday afternoon, police said.

The 20-year-old man was at a stop on the T-Third line at Third Street and Gilman Avenue at about 12:50 p.m. Saturday when he heard two gunshots, then realized he had been struck, according to police.

The victim went to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.
