More than 8,000 PG&E customers temporarily without power in East Bay

OAKLAND, Calif. —

A power outage in Oakland left more than 8,000 PG&E customers in the dark Tuesday night, a utility spokeswoman said.

The outage impacted 8,081 customers and was reported at 8:56 p.m. and was restored by 9:31 p.m., spokeswoman Jana Morris said.

The cause of the outage is under investigation.
