SAN FRANCISCO —
Repairs on downed San Francisco Municipal Railway overhead lines in the Castro area were completed early Friday morning, eliminating any disruption to the a.m. commute according to Muni officials.
Around 2 p.m. Thursday overhead lines came down near Muni's Church station at Church and Market streets, Muni spokesman Paul Rose said.
Repair work disrupted the K, L and M light-rail lines and shuttle buses were used in their place between the West Portal and Church stations, Rose said.
Repairs were completed around 1 a.m. this morning. Regular service will resume on the three affected subway lines Friday morning, according to a Muni advisory.
Thursday evening crews finished repairing wires that had come down at a different location at Van Ness Avenue and Market Street also around 2 p.m. when a large semi truck carrying cars snagged overhead wires, Rose said.
