Pittsburg Crash Injures Four; DUI Suspected

PITTSBURG, Calif. —

Four people were injured and one arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a head-on collision late Saturday night in Pittsburg, a police lieutenant said Sunday.

The crash was reported around 11:35 p.m. at Jacqueline Drive and West Leland Road, according to Pittsburg police Lt. Jim Calia.

A mother and her two teenage daughters were in one of the cars. The mother had to be extricated from the wreck, Calia said. All three were transported to a local hospital and are expected to survive.

The 26-year-old male driver and only occupant of the other vehicle was also transported to a local hospital.

Upon his release, the driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and was booked into county jail, Calia said.
