Rescued Bolivian Lions Arrive At SFO Monday

SAN FRANCISCO —

Four lions rescued by Animal Defenders International following a recent ban on Bolivian circus animals will be arriving at San Francisco International Airport on Monday.

The animals will then travel to a sanctuary in San Andreas, which is run by the Performing Animal Welfare Society. They will live in a natural habitat at the sanctuary.

CSI actress Jorja Fox will be participating in the rescue operation, which was funded by TV personality Bob Barker, according to Animal Defenders International.

The lions are scheduled to arrive at SFO at 5:30 p.m.
