One dead after car flips over center median on Highway 101 in San Francisco

One person was killed after a car flipped over the center median on Highway 101 in San Francisco on Monday afternoon. 

The car was traveling south on Highway 101 when it crashed into the median and landed in the northbound lanes. 

The crash happened around 3:13 p.m. Traffic was backed up for miles.

Another crash on nortbound Highway 101 just before Interstate 280 involved a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was taken away in an ambulance. His condition is unknown.

All lanes were re-opened just before 6:00 pm.
