SUMMARY: Write and Produce station News promotion campaigns, including image, special reports and Proof of Performance. Also responsible to write/produce Sales/Promotion, syndicated promotion, web promotion, network promotion and retail spots.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Work with Director of Marketing and Promotion Manager to produce compelling promotion for station projects as-well-as retail projects. Work with Announcer, Editors, Production crew, Designers and outside vendors on production of promotional announcements and retail campaigns. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in marketing, advertising and/or broadcasting; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a major television market.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Familiar with modern production techniques. Advanced computer skills. Self motivated, organized and able to get along well with others. Non-linear editing skills. Excellent writing and production skills a must.
